The Return Of Jesus 1
Author: Islam House- English
In Islam, Jesus (Isa) will return before the Day of Judgment to defeat the Anti-Christ (Dajjal), establish justice, break the cross, kill swine, abolish jizya (poll tax), and lead humanity under Islamic law (Sharia), eventually dying a natural death and being buried near Prophet Muhammad in Medina. This event, a major sign of the Hour, is detailed in the Hadith, though hinted at in the Quran, portraying Jesus as a follower of Muhammad, not a new prophet, who will unite people under true monotheism. Key Aspects of Jesus's Return (Nuzul al-Isa) Purpose: To defeat the Dajjal (False Messiah), end corruption, and establish a kingdom of justice and peace. Location: He will descend near a white minaret in Damascus, Syria, and travel to Jerusalem (Al-Quds). Role: He will rule as a just leader, following Prophet Muhammad's teachings (Sharia). Actions: He will break the Christian cross, kill pigs, and abolish jizya, signifying the end of differing religions as Islam becomes the sole faith. The Dajjal: Jesus's presence will cause the Dajjal to melt away, ending his reign of chaos. The Mahdi: He will pray behind al-Mahdi, the divinely guided leader, showing his submission to Muhammad's final message. Duration: He is believed to live on Earth for around 40 years, marry, have children, and die a natural death, being buried in Medina. Scriptural Basis Quran: Hints at his raising to God (3:55) and his role as a sign of the Hour, with all People of the Book believing in him before his death
