Qari Muhammad Tayyib (RA) (1897–1983) was one of the most distinguished Islamic scholars of the Indian subcontinent and a leading figure of Darul Uloom Deoband . The grandson of Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi , he devoted his life to teaching, writing, and the intellectual defense of Islam. He served as the Mohtamim (Rector) of Darul Uloom Deoband for over five decades and became renowned for his deep understanding of the Qur'an, Hadith, theology, philosophy, and Islamic civilization.
His greatest achievement was presenting traditional Islamic scholarship in a systematic and intellectual style that addressed modern ideological challenges. Through his lectures and writings, he explained the philosophy of Tawhid, Risalah, worship, society, ethics, and civilization in a manner that influenced generations of scholars. Many of his speeches and writings were later compiled into books and multi-volume collections, making him one of the most prolific Deobandi authors of the twentieth century.
